The Graduate School Application Workshop Series was designed to help students learn more about PhD applications. Students will learn about the various components of an application, and how they can best tell their story. In the fall of 2024, we plan to host 7 workshops: - Getting Started & Making A Plan - Highlighting Your Personal Experiences & Interests - Finding the Programs that are Right for You - Writing a Strong Personal Statement - Hearing From Current PhD Students - From Good to Great: A Peer Review of Your Application - From Submission to Decision: Preparing for the Next Steps By the end of the series, students will: have a better understanding of graduate school applications, what various components of an application intend to highlight, and how to put together a good application. Workshops are open to undergraduate researchers of all levels, but will be primarily focused on 3rd and 4th year students who are preparing to apply in this cycle or the next cycle.
